Boylan is a comprehensive, co-educational diocesan high school in the Diocese of Rockford, IL whose bishop is the Most Reverend David J. Malloy DD, JCL, STD. Boylan's campus is situated on 60 acres in the northwest section of Rockford. The 55 year-old facility includes a chapel, library, Academic Support Center, guidance offices, auditorium, two gyms, a weight room and a wrestling room. The main building also has a computer-aided design (CAD) lab, three computer networking labs (including a MAC lab), a computer-equipped business education lab, foods and sewing rooms, and cafeteria. The Arts and Science Complex has eight science labs with a central preparation area, two art classrooms with kiln, a 175-seat lecture hall/auditorium, and a study hall. The Music Complex houses a band room with five practice rooms, a director’s office, and a chorus room. The campus also includes a 5400-seat stadium with a synthetic six-lane running track, two baseball diamonds, multi-use practice fields, and six indoor tennis courts. The Voss Family Alumni Center, located in the northeast quadrant of the campus, houses the Advancement Office and Swim Complex.
